Ministers' Conference
About Ministers' Conference
The Ghana Baptist Convention Ministers’ Conference is a group of all denominationally accredited ministers who have gone through one of the ministerial admission processes of the Ghana Baptist Convention. These ministers may either be licensed, recognized, or ordained.
The GBC Ministers’ Conference is the theological hub of the Ghana Baptist Convention, which concerns itself with the training, welfare, discipline, and ethical standards of all ministers of the Ghana Baptist Convention.
The Secretariat of the Ministers’ Conference is managed by an eight-member Executive Committee, seven of whom are elected from the membership of the Ministers’ Conference, along with an Administrator who is a full-time staff member.
The Ministers’ Conference meets at least once every year for a refresher course and business. In the various Baptist associations, the Ministers’ Conference has groups of its ministers at the association level known as the Local Ministers’ Fellowship, which meets monthly for training, talks, and seminars. At the Fellowship level, individuals who have not yet gone through the ministerial admission processes of the Ghana Baptist Convention but lead a local Baptist church as its shepherd are eligible members of the Local Fellowship.
