ANNUAL SESSION

The Annual Session is the highest decision-making body of the Ghana Baptist Convention, consisting of an annual gathering of Denominational Board Members, the Presidency, ministers, delegates from churches and institutions, and the Convention Secretariat staff. It functions to establish rules and procedures outlined in the Ghana Baptist Constitution for conducting business, fostering fellowship, evangelism, and other relevant activities aimed at the growth of the denomination.

THE PRESIDENCY

The Presidency of the Ghana Baptist Convention is the executive management team at the convention secretariat and consists of the President, Vice President and Director General (Finance and Administration)

The Executive President monitors and assesses the strategic goals and spiritual performance of the Convention to ensure the achievement of the constitutional mandate. The Vice President and the Director General (Finance and Administration) report to the President.

DENOMINATIONAL BOARD

The Denominational Board serves as an advisory body to the Convention. It analyzes and evaluates the policy decisions implemented by the Presidency. The Denominational Board consists of:

  • A representative from each of the 4 Sectors
  • A former Officer of the Convention
  • The Head of the Ministers’ Conference
  • The Chairperson of the Governing Council of the Ghana Baptist University College
  • A Legal Practitioner
  • Two women
  • A Technocrat

    To significantly improve the level of remuneration, the retirement/end-of-service package, and general conditions of service for Convention Ministers on retirement

    To strengthen and uplift the prayer and spiritual foundations of the Convention, its Associations and member churches.
